We are pleased to present our Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Training course. This course, based on practical application and real-world scenarios, is intended to provide participants with the fundamental skills required to use an AED in the event of a sudden cardiac arrest. By the end of the course, participants will be confident and capable of responding effectively to cardiac emergencies with an AED.
Who should attend?
This AED Training course is appropriate for anyone looking to learn life-saving skills. It is especially useful for people in jobs that require access to an AED, such as office workers, teachers, fitness instructors, and care home staff. However, no prior experience is required, and the course is open to anyone interested in expanding their first aid knowledge and skills.
What You Will Learn
Participants in this course will learn how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and what procedures to follow in the event of a potential cardiac arrest. This includes recognising the signs of cardiac arrest, performing effective chest compressions, and safely using an AED. The course also discusses what to do after defibrillation and while waiting for emergency services to arrive.
Course Duration
Our AED Training course is 3 hours long and designed to be both comprehensive and concise. This duration allows for thorough theoretical coverage as well as ample hands-on practice with AEDs, all while keeping the pace engaging.
Course Certification
Participants who successfully complete the course will receive a certificate of completion accredited by Skills Training Group. This certificate, while not a formally recognised qualification, demonstrates the attendee’s commitment to emergency preparedness and ability to operate an AED.
Assessment
This course involves continuous assessment throughout the training session. Instead of administering a final exam, our trainers will assess participants’ comprehension and application of the AED techniques taught throughout the course. This approach allows for immediate feedback and correction, ensuring that every participant leaves the course feeling confident in their new skills.
