Course Overview

  • Vital Signs: Monitoring breathing, consciousness, temperature, and skin color.
  • Incident Management: Systematic approach to first aid incidents using the ABCDE method.
  • Airway Management: Managing unconsciousness and ensuring safe airway positions.

  • Injury Treatment: Managing injuries to head, spine, chest, abdomen, pelvis, limbs, and using remote improvised techniques.

In-House Training The course can be delivered on-site for groups up to 12. A suitable space is necessary to accommodate practical activities safely.

£995 per group of up to 12 learners. The fee covers all instructional materials, equipment required for the training a First Aid Manual, and certification.

Course Type

The Qualsafe Level 3 Award in Outdoor First Aid (RQF) is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification designed for people acting in unsupported outdoor roles such as Outdoor Activity Leaders, Bushcraft Instructors, Canoe Instructors or Duke of Edinburgh assessors who run activities where medical help could be up to a few hours away.

Certification

Participants who complete the course earn the Qualsafe Level 3 Award in Outdoor First Aid (RQF) certificate, valid for three years. The course includes 16 contact hours of hands-on training with no written exams, relying entirely on practical competency evaluation through active participation in all taught procedures.
